Obtaining a Trial License

  • After launching SysCAD for the first time, you will encounter several dialog boxes, including the License Authorisation window:

  • Locate the Site Code displayed in the License Authorisation dialog. This is a unique identifier for your system. To send your Site Code to the SysCAD licensing team:
    • Option 1: (Build139 or later only): Click the EmailSiteCodebutton.png button to automatically generate an email addressed to [email protected]. Please note that this feature depends on your email configuration and IT permissions, and may not be available or functional for all users.
    • Option 2: Click the LicenseCopytoClipboardbutton.png button to copy the Site Code to your clipboard. Then paste it into an email and send it to [email protected].
  • The SysCAD team will respond within 1–2 business days with a corresponding Site Key.
  • Once received:
    • Enter the Site Key in the License Authorisation dialog.
    • Click Validate to activate your trial license.
  • The standard trial period is three weeks.
  • If you need to send a new site code to extend the trial or change options, use the License\License Authorisation command from within SysCAD, but still send the site code to [email protected].

Important Notes

  • The standard trial license is for a single user, with access to the steady-state solver mode and all standard add-ons.
  • Users interested in trialing OLI integration with SysCAD must obtain a separate license from OLI. Refer to the OLI Overview for guidance on getting started.
