The Simple heater uses the following equation to calculate the duty required or the final temperature of the stream.

- Q - Rate of Heat Transfer

- Cp - heat capacity
- [math]\displaystyle{ \mathbf{\mathit{\boldsymbol{\Delta}T}} }[/math] - temperature difference
