General

This section is displayed on the Sp tab and shows the actual species flows in the stream. It has mainly read only variables, except for the options that determine the species fractional basis and how the flows in columns 2 onwards are displayed. The method by which Fractions and Concentrations is calculated is affected by the Phase which is chosen.

The Sp tab shows the species flows. The optional EC tab shows the elemental and component flows. Elements and Components are listed alphabetically.

Note: Species/elemental/component flows are now displayed as a table. To copy tags from tables, users must use CTRL+T (copy full tag) in the required column. CTRL+C will not copy a tag from a table, it will copy its value. For more information, please see Copying Tags for more information.

Users can define their own calculations (called Species Calculations) in the Project Configuration (cfg File) which will be displayed on the Species flow page. Refer to Calculation Configuration for more details.

Hide / Show Zeros Button

Hide Zeros.png Show Zeros.png
  • If the Hide Zeros.png Hide Zeros button is clicked, all species that have NO flow in the stream will be hidden.
  • If the Show Zeros.png Show Zeros button is clicked, all species will be displayed, including those with no flow.

Species Long or Short Display Button

SpeciesShortButton.png SpeciesLongButton.png For example: SpeciesLongExample.png
  • These are used to change the display of the Species names between the Short form, the Chemical compound, or the longer species names.
  • This button is independent of the TagLong.png or TagShort.png button that is used to toggle the field names on other pages of the Access window between the long and short forms.

Species Filter

Button - Filter On.png Button - Filter Off.png
  • The Filter allows the user to filter the species display on the Sp tab. This is a really useful feature, as it allows the user to quickly see only the species containing a particular element, or elements. The different filter options allow the filter to be based on the elemental definition of a species or on the short or long tag for the species name.
  • In a project with a large number of species, this makes following elements, components or species much easier.
  • Please see Species Filter for more information on the Filter Options that are available for the species filter. This functionality is only available in Build 137 and later.

Hide / Show EC Page Button

The Hide EC.png Show EC.png Hide/Show EC Page button is used to either display or hide the EC (Elements + Components) page.

  • The Hide/Show EC Page button is only visible if the setting in the Plant Model for Page Layout = Two-Optional. (This is the default setting).
  • If the setting in the Plant Model for Page Layout = Two-Always, then the EC page is always visible and there is no Hide/Show EC Page button.
  • If the setting in the Plant Model for Page Layout = One, then the EC page is NEVER visible and there is no Hide/Show EC Page button.

The HideComponentsButton.png ShowComponentsButton.png Hide/Show Components button is used to either display or hide the Components section of the EC page.

  • The Hide/Show Components button is only visible if EC page is visible.

Page Layout and Display Options

  • StreamColumnCount - The default number of columns displayed on this tab is 3. However, the user may change the number of columns displayed by changing the StreamColumnCount at the bottom of the Sp or EC pages.
  • The StreamColumnCount and other page layout and display options can be changed on the Views Tab of the Plant Model.
  • Click on the magnifying glass icon (Access2.png) to go straight to the Plant Model-Views tab access window.

Phase and View Options

Column 1 is always visible and will ALWAYS display the mass flows of the species/elements/components in the project.
Button Small 8.png
The displays in columns 2 onwards of the Sp page can be changed in the drop-down menu.
Button Small 9.png
The displays in columns 2 onwards of the EC page can be changed in the drop-down menu.

Phase and View Options

The View Options allow the user to display the Species, Component and Elemental flows in columns 2 onwards in different ways. Not all options are available for the Species, Compounds and Elements.

If the BasisPerColumn option is ticked on the Views Tab of the Plant Model, then the basis can be selected for each individual column on the Sp page. If the BasisPerColumn option is NOT ticked, then the Basis can only be set once for all columns on the Sp page.

The Basis and Display options for the Elements section of the EC page and the Components section of the EC page can only be set once for all columns.
