Section 7 Overview

Please use these videos together with Section 7 of the Basic SysCAD Tutorial, which is distributed with the SysCAD full install.

We will continue to use the project that we have constructed and modified in the previous sections of the Tutorial as well as an existing project, Basic.07.1(CCD Circuit Only).spf.

In this section we use will carry out the following exercises:

  1. Open a project with an alternate configuration;
  2. Merge 2 projects together;
  3. Make modifications to the merged project; and
  4. Connect the 2 flowsheets in the merged project.

Open a Project with Alternate Configuration

  • Section 7.2: This shows you how open a project with an Alternate Configuration.
  • YouTube link (Allows you to watch in Full Screen mode)
  • Build 135.15159

Merge 2 Projects together

  • Section 7.3: This video shows you how to merge 2 projects together.
  • YouTube link (Allows you to watch in Full Screen mode)
  • Build 135.15159

Change a Unit

  • Section 7.5: Shows how to change the unit type - this changes the underlying mathematical model without changing the graphical symbol.
  • YouTube link (Allows you to watch in Full Screen mode)
  • Build 135.15159

Delete a Unit or Units

  • Section 7.5: Shows how to Delete a unit, or group of units from a SysCAD flowsheet.
  • YouTube link (Allows you to watch in Full Screen mode)
  • Build 135.15159

Change the Size of a Graphical Unit

Please insert the Washer unit into the flowsheet before watching this video.

  • Section 7.5: Shows how to change the size of a graphical unit in a SysCAD flowsheet.
  • YouTube link (Allows you to watch in Full Screen mode)
  • Build 135.15159

Rotate and Move Graphical Units

  • Section 7.5: Shows how to Rotate and Move a graphical unit and how to align a group of graphical units.
  • YouTube link (Allows you to watch in Full Screen mode)
  • Build 135.15159

Using Arrow Keys to Move, Rotate and Resize Graphical Units

  • Section 7.5: Shows how to use arrow keys to Move, Rotate and Resize a graphical unit.
  • YouTube link (Allows you to watch in Full Screen mode)
  • Build 136.19514

Insert Links - Review

  • Section 7.5: This video is a review of Insert Links, including how to move a single segment of a Link.
