Default UtilityDB Format
This option tells SysCAD which MS Access Driver to use while starting SysCAD. For example, if the user has MS Access 97 but wants to load up a project saved (by others) with MS Access 2000 format. It will then be necessary to force SysCAD to load with an Access 2000 Driver.
Default Database format
This sets the global default database formats.
Show Evaluation Order Window
If this option is selected, the Evaluation Order window will be visible by default. Otherwise, the user can still view this window by selection View - Evaluation Order.
Open SysCAD Explorer at load
The SysCAD Explorer is used to toggle between windows and search for models in a project.
See Explorer Window for more information.

Apply change tag in PGM files
This option allows SysCAD to change the tag in PGM files when the user changes a tag in SysCAD. The default for new and upgraded projects is for this option to be on. This will change all instances of a changed tag when used as part of valid code (ie. inside " " or []), regardless if this code is commented out or not. For every tag change made, a comment is added to the bottom of the PGM which contains the:
- date and time
- old tag and new tag
- number of changes made and what line numbers the changes were made on
Text Editor
The user is allowed to specify the text editor used for external text files. This will be used to edit pgm files when they are edited from SysCAD. NOTE: If an editor other than notepad is used, the full path for the editor needs to be given.
Note: We recommend the use of Notepad++ or TextPad as an alternative to Notepad for PGM file editing. For more information on Notepad++ and TextPad, where to get it and how to set it up, please refer to our documentation [SysCAD website]. A user account is required to access this file.
Reaction Editor
The user is allowed to specify the text editor used for reaction files. This will be used to edit rct files when they are edited from SysCAD. NOTE: If an editor other than notepad is used, the full path for the editor needs to be given.
Note: We recommend the use of Reaction Editor as an alternative to Notepad for rct file editing. SysCAD users can download Reaction Editor from our website [SysCAD website]. A user account is required to access this file.
Other
Graphics - Defer Load:
If a SysCAD project contains many graphics page, this option can be used to speed up loading of the project. SysCAD does not need to have all the graphics loaded in order for it to solve. The graphics display is only for the user's benefits. If this option is selected, SysCAD will load only blank Graphics Windows when a project is opened. The window title bar will inform the user the contents of the Graphics Windows. When the graphics for a Graphics Window is required, click on the blank Graphics Window and SysCAD will ask for confirmation of loading of drawing.
Graphics - Auto load on Touch:
If the Defer load is selected, (see above) the auto load on touch option could be used in conjunction to auto load the drawing when the blank Graphics Window is clicked on.
Graphics - Load all Now:
If the Defer load is selected, (see above) the load all now option could be used to load all the drawings.
