Common Data on First Tab Page

This section is common to all model types.

Tag / Symbol Input / Calc Calculated Variables / Options
TagOutput This name tag may be modified with the change tag option.
ConditionOutput OK if no errors/warnings, otherwise lists errors/warnings.
ConditionCount Output The current number of errors/warnings. If condition is OK, returns 0.
EqpDesc Input The user may enter a unit description.

EqpMemo Input The user may enter a description of the unit as text. This field is handled by SysCAD like a normal tag, therefore it can reported and set via Excel.
Link0/1/2 Hyperlinks The user may add a Hyperlink to a web page. There are three fields available for setting Hyperlinks.
EqpIdStr Input The user may enter an equipment identifier that can be used for reporting.
ReportKey Input The user may enter a report key - this may be used to select user defined keys for reporting.
EqpLocation Input The user may enter an equipment location identifier that can be used for reporting.

Settings and Options

NetMethodDisplay Displays the current solve mode. Note that the solve mode is set from Project Configure dialog box and is limited by the license options.
Solution (This field is only visible in Dynamic mode.) Direct Only solution option for models which do not allow surge (eg. pipe, tie)
Inline Solution option for Tank model. Tank acts similarly to ProBal mode, ie. mass is balanced across the unit. The Tank does have Surge.
Buffered Solution option for Tank model. Tank has surge.
HeatCalc (See Heat Calculations in Project Configuration to set the project-wide heat calculation level) None Energy calculations will not be carried out, all streams will be treated at 20dC. This option should only be selected if the user is only looking at mass transfer projects with no heat requirements at all.
Reduced SysCAD will perform a full energy balance. (Currently the Reduced and Rigorous options are identical)
Rigorous SysCAD will perform a full energy balance. (Currently the Reduced and Rigorous options are identical)
Active Tickbox Activates or Deactivates the unit operation. This is normally set by SysCAD when the user Activates or Deactivates an entire flowsheet, see Active Pages and Manipulating Graphics and Trend Windows for methods of Activating and Deactivating flow sheets..
Hold Tick box Puts the unit operation on Hold so the solver ignores it when building a solution.
SetState (The status may also be set using the Options Button on the first tab page of the unit. Blank No action required
Complete_Reset This option is effectively a combination of all the following SetState options.
Reset Process This will empty a pipe and flow values when the run begins.
Reset Control This will reset a controller back to 'Base' state, i.e. the same state as when the controller is first inserted into the project. This is mainly relevant for PID controllers.
Reset Statistics Selecting this will Reset the Statistics.
Reset Events Profiles This will reset the Event or Profile back to start time.
Empty Process This Empties the unit if it has surge, e.g. if it is a Tank.
Preset Process This will preset the unit with the Preset data entered by the user.
SetTimetoZero Reset the starting time to zero.
PlantArea Drop Down List The Default is 'Global Area'. If the user has defined other plant area models, then they may select one of these areas where this unit will be grouped. Please see Area Model for more information.

System Information

TypeOutput Model Dependent
ClassId Output The Class ID of the model. This will be identical to the first tab page.
EqpGUIDOutput This is a unique ID created for each graphics entity in a project.
EvalOrderOutput The Evaluation order of the unit set by the SysCAD Solver.
EvalSequenceOutput The Evaluation sequence of the unit set by the SysCAD Solver.
Origin.X Input The x spatial coordinate of the unit.
Origin.Y Input The y spatial coordinate of the unit.
Origin.Z Input The z spatial coordinate of the unit.
